Gordon Wilhoit, M.D.
Dr. Gordon Wilhoit was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. He moved with his family to Virginia Beach, VA, as a young boy. Upon completion of high school at Woodberry Forrest School in 1969, he graduated from Hamptom-Sydney in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minor degrees in chemistry as well as math. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, in 1977. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, VA. During this time, he was Chief of Outpatient Clinics. He then joined Berkeley Family Practice. Dr. Wilhoit has served as team physician for local high schools and is a team physician for the South Carolina Stingrays. His profession interests and areas of expertise include pediatric, diabetes, and high blood pressure. He is married to Robyn and they have three children, Tyler, Cameron, and Hunter.
